Tan Sri Ahmad Nizam Salleh had a 40-year career in the oil and gas industry holding various leadership positions at Petronas including Vice President Corporate Services, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Engen Petroleum in South Africa, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Malaysia LNG Group of Companies, Head of Group Treasury and Head of Crude Oil Group. He served as Chairman of Petronas from 2018 to 2021.

In addition to the oil and gas industry, his experience in the real estate sector includes serving as Chairman of KLCC Group of Companies and Chairman of Pelaburan Hartanah Berhad. He has also held positions on the Board at MISC Bhd, Bintulu Port Holdings Bhd, Putrajaya Holdings Sdn Bhd and Petronas Assets Sdn Bhd.

He also served in the education and social sectors in his capacity as the Pro Chancellor of Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS and Member of the Board of Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, and as Chairman of Yayasan PETRONAS.

Tan Sri Ahmad Nizam holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from The Ohio University and attended the Advanced Management Program at Wharton School University of Pennsylvania in the US.
