Commitment to Governance

SSWFFB is committed to implementing the highest standards of corporate governance. To ensure that SSWFFB delivers its investment mandate within the requirements of the Ordinance and applicable regulations, a robust Governance, Risk and Compliance (“GRC”) framework has been established.

The GRC Framework comprises the following elements which establish the policies and procedures outlining the standards, conduct and practices governing all SSWFFB operations:

Governance Framework

Sets out Board and Board Committee oversight responsibilities, accountability, and authority.

(B)
Risk Management Framework

Sets out SSWFFB’s end to end approach to managing risks including defining risk appetite and tolerance for risks applicable to SSWFFB.

(C)
Compliance Framework

Sets out SSWFFB’s end to end approach to managing compliance obligations and mitigate compliance risks.

(D)
Escalation Framework

Sets out the protocols for any identified breaches in compliance requirements and risk tolerances set.

(E)
GRC Culture

Sets out a structured programme to promote a consistent GRC culture across all SSWFFB employees and stakeholders.


 

 

The Board and Board Sub-Committees 

SSWFFB emphasises a strong Board culture to safeguard interests of the Fund and fulfill its mandate from the Ordinance. The Board is led by the Chairman who sets the organisation's values and standards while ensuring effective governance policies are in place. To support its functions, the Board has established Board sub-committees, which report their decisions and recommendations at each Board meeting for endorsement or guidance.

 

 

Integrity Notice

SSWFFB adopts a “Zero-Tolerance Approach” against all forms of bribery and corruption in accordance with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009 and its amendments.

It is fully committed to conducting all of its business activities with the highest standard of governance, integrity, respect and accountability. An Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy has been implemented which sets out SSWFFB's principles in dealing with bribery and corruption activities that may arise involving the Board of Guardians, employees and any third parties acting for and on behalf of SSWFFB.

 

 

Conflict Of Interest

Independence and high standards of professional conduct are crucial for SSWFFB’s performance and reputation. A Conflict-of-Interest policy has been implemented to provide guidance to SSWFFB on the management of real or potential conflict of interest.

All SSWFFB’s personnel are required to act in good faith in the best interests of the Fund.
